Meditation and mindfulness practices are proven to dramatically increase self-awareness, focus and overall performance in sport and in every day life.

In my studio with my clients I love to help them to navigate them the way to start implementing wellness into their daily life.

That's why I thought it would be great to compiled a small list of first mini steps to get you started on your mindfulness journey.

Create a Space that Works for You
Your environment influences your mind more than you can imagine. It's important to select a space that brings you a calming, focused feeling so that you have little to no distractions when practicing.

My space is my little corner by the windows where I burn incense or candle and meditate daily. To start that-explore your home and see where is this magical space where you feel the most in peace. It can be your garden, patio, bedroom or sweet spot somewhere in your living room.

Start Small
As I have mentioned before even a couple minutes out of your day can make a HUGE difference. Take time away from the busyness of every day life and take a moment for your mind. 5 minutes of meditation where you focus just on the breath, 15 minutes of yoga stretches, 20 minutes od mindful walk (no phone policy!) will create a profound difference in your everyday life.

Practice Daily
Consistency is KEY in both mindful exercises and body focused exercises. Although, meditation might feel a little daunting and strange to keep doing, you will start to see positive results in anywhere from a couple days to a couple weeks.

Small steps, but EVERY DAY - You've got this!
